The Cabat Campaign

Concept and art direction capturing the iconic Bottega Veneta Cabat bag
2018

One of Bottega Veneta‘s most iconic handbags, The Cabat was first designed by creative director Tomas Maier when he took over the house in 2001. Strips of double-faced leather are hand-woven in a rectangular weave, known as intrecciato, to create an entirely seamless bag. In celebration of this unique signature, the set design for the shoot featured a sea of these supple leather strips, brought in from Bottega's Montebello Atelier and carefully laid out to create a seemingly fluid backdrop.
